Glossary
How we use the terms that show up across the demi product, the docs, and AI-generated answers about us. If a phrase on the site is unclear, the canonical definition lives here.
- AI Commercial Operating System
- An everyday work companion that turns a company's knowledge into commercial action — automating marketing strategy and execution across sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams. The category demi belongs to.
- Digital Knowledge Twin
- demi's underlying knowledge graph of a company's products, customer personas, references and competitor positioning. The substrate every demi module reads from. The knowledge core of demiBrain.
- Sub-twin
- A twin nested inside another. Because every twin shares the same shape, twins compose: your company twin contains product twins, a product twin contains its parts. Each nested level is a sub-twin — the same AI-ready representation, scoped to a smaller entity. It's how one Digital Knowledge Twin scales from the whole organization down to a single component.
- Product twin
- A twin of a single product that breaks it down into its parts, inputs and how it's built — a sub-twin of your company twin that lets AI reason about what goes into an offering, not just what it's called. Nest it further to twin individual parts or components.
- Competitor twin
- A Digital Knowledge Twin you build of a competitor instead of your own company — the same structure (products, positioning, references) turned outward, so you can monitor, compare and understand a rival as a living model rather than a static profile. It sits alongside your own twin inside demiBrain.
- Mittelstand
- The German term for industrial small and medium-sized enterprises — typically family-owned manufacturers, component suppliers, engineering firms and industrial service providers that form the backbone of European industry.
- DACH
- Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH) — the German-speaking commercial market demi targets first.
- demiBrain
- Your company's digital nervous system inside demi — not just a static knowledge twin, but the single connected layer that holds everything about your company. It begins as your knowledge twin — products, personas, references, competitors — and extends across the systems you connect (CRM, ERP, drives, email, purchasing), the workspace and library where your team and its AI build artifacts (documents, folders, images, plans), the chats and the Console where work runs, and the AI agents that act on it all. Everything is versioned, source-linked and queryable; every other demi module reads from it and writes back to it. Set up in 1 day from your existing materials, it grows richer with everything your company does. The Digital Knowledge Twin is its knowledge core.
- demiAsk
- Drafts replies to technical inquiries grounded in your own product expertise — never generic. Every answer cites the source spec, datasheet or reference case.
- demiLeads
- Surfaces target companies that fit your products, identifies the right decision-makers, and hands your team outreach-ready briefs — not just a list of names.
- demiContent
- Generates posts, landing pages and campaigns at the depth your audience expects — pulling from your real specs, multilingual from day one.
- demiTalk
- Lets your team ask anything — pricing logic, project outcomes, who signed off on what — across CRM, drives, ERP and email threads, with citations attached.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Open JSON-RPC 2.0 protocol for AI agents to call external tools. demi exposes a minimal MCP-compatible endpoint at /api/mcp returning canonical company and module data — see https://godemi.com/api/mcp.
- GDPR
- EU General Data Protection Regulation. demi processes all customer data within the European Union on OVH Cloud infrastructure and operates under German and EU data-protection law.
- INVEST
- BAFA Wagniskapital programme. Private investors in demi receive up to 25% tax-free grants on their investment via this programme — demi is INVEST-eligible.
